Off topic, but what does "+1" mean? What does"bump" mean? I 've seen those in reply posts and I am just too slow to figure it out.
+1 just means, the poster also agrees with the original poster. Bump is just that, a way to Bump the thread, back to the top of the list. Sometimes we get so many postings here, that within a few minutes, yours could be at the bottom of the page!
On topic: By the way, I think most dealers give a 10-20% discount if you order online. However, I did notice that many of the items you go to buy online, are not there and are listed as "in-store purchase only".
I bought a set a bags for my Fatboy from my local dealership online, and received a 15% discount. If I went to the dealership directly I would not have received the discount.
Marty
Jenni is no longer at Charlie's. She has moved on to Tri-county in Cincinnati, Ohio You would have to call Charlie's to see if the discount is still good.
My dealer told me that they will not price match the internet dealers in any way. I tried to give them the oppertunity to make a few bucks but they refused. They have lost all of my parts sales because of this. I have ordered from Chig Harley and have found them very easy to deal with. Fast shipping for stock and ordered items.
Hales HD in Ohio also sells at a discount on the internet. I got a great price from them, cheaper than anyone else, on my Road Zep. M&m cycles also can get some HD parts at a discount.
+1 for Hale's. I have used them for the last couple of years. I recently tried Zanotti's because so many on here like them and I am not impressed. It has now been 8 days since my order was confirmed and I am still waiting for any of the six items I ordered to to ship. I received an email that said some parts were not in stock and additional shipping charges would apply if I requested multiple shipments.
Hale's has the same, if not better prices/shipping. You can call them and order from an actual parts person who tells you right away what is in stock and what needs to be ordered. The in-stock items ship immediately and the other items ship when they get in with no additional shipping charges. Also, their discounts apply to Kuryakn and everything in Drag Specialties.
I, for one, will never use anybody but Hale's again.
