I am sure everyone here knows the feeling, I am still smiling ear to ear. It is a whole different world sitting on the "King" coming of the Sporty. I did not have much time to ride last night, but when my wife and I got back, she parked her scoot, and I said hope on, lets go. What a difference two up. Now I need the exhaust, backrest, the new bars (handle bars, then new drinking establishments.......lol.....) What a excellent ride and I am very glad I listened to most of the people on here when it came to the choice between the Road King and the Deluxe. Now I just need to get to the 500 mile mark to let the real fun begin! Doesn't do ya much good to have a 6 speed if you can't go over 50, then 60.

CONGRATULATIONS! Got mine about a month ago, the smile doesn't fade. That is one sweet ride, great color! Just wait until you twist the throttle. The first time I hit the rev limiter was in first gear, just about 45 mph. I was like, "WOW!" Ok, I left out the profanity, cause I really said something different. Know what you mean about waiting 1000 mi., I get mine in tonight, pick it up tomorrow, then it's home to the garage to change pipes, air cleaner and plug into the ECM. I can't wait, I'm sure you're chomping at the bit. Well, I hope you're out riding and don't see this for a while, but once again, congratulations!
My first ride on my RK was my first ride on a bike sinceI was 10 on a honda 50. Talking abouta thrill. I don't recomend that though. Yeah that is a great feeling. I have a grin on my face for you.
