Default Soft Front-end

HD Dealer recently installed a chrome front-end to my 06 EG. Looks really nice, however every little bump or dip seems to dive the front. Feels almost like a under inflated tire. Check tire pressure andit was good. Question is: Could they have installed thinner fork oil vs stock? Or could they have not filled one of the tubes? Is there an easy way to check this?
Thanks in advance for the advise.

Take the bike back to them because they are to light.Ask them to put the heavy Screaming Eagle fork oil in them

The solution is heavier oil!

I had my 08 RG lowered right after delivery and hadthe same experience, so last week I had the chrome front end kit installed and spec'd the screamin eagle fork oil, HUGE difference. front end doesn't dive anymore or bottom out.

There are 3 different weight of fork oil used by the Mo Co. The standard is what comes on a new bike, the next step is firmer oil and then there is the Screaming Eagle oil which is for racing applications, or as they say. I also went to the heavier oil in my Heritage and it stopped the nose dive at most stops. That would be my first move…

There are two different SE oils. One is the SE Heavy Duty ( which I put in my RK two weeks ago ) and then there is the race oil.

I stand corrected on the SE oil... I was unaware!
