Default COMPASS

I have a FLHTP-I & I wanted to fill the gauge void- so I was going to put a Oil temp gauge & a compass. Anyone have the HD compass? Any issues?

I don't have the compass, I was thinking about it at one point but I have read on here of quite a few people having problems with them.

I dont feel pregnant because many peoples do not work.
Either did mine. I went with a Oil Temp Gauge.

Oil temp guage is a good choice.. ripped out my air temp guage to put that in. Riding buds have not had much luck with the compass.. most are relying on their Zumos

what other guage are you missing?

On the FLHTP - its like a standard- you only get the TACH, Speedo, Fuel, & VOLT. I have two empty spots on each side of the radio box. What can I put there besides a Oil pressure gauge?

do a close up on my dash..
other gauage is Oil Pressure.. you're going to be in the same area putting in theOil Temp guage..
I went with the HD suggested sensor installation, most of the guys on here have gone with the oil pan installation.. mine works well..

also just swapped out the factory black face guages for the silver face ones.. I like the way they show up at night better than my stock ones.

Stay away from the compass. It is a pain to install and align. Mine would never stay aligned despite dealership help. It now has become a fantastic paperweight on the work bench.
