Default Lemon Law

I was wondering if anyone here has used the lemon law on their Motorcycle. I live in NC and have been having problems with my 2007 Ultra since I picked it up Sept. 8, 2006. Out of the 1st year that I had the bike the HD shop had it for 45 days. The lawyer I talked with said I had a good case. Has anybody here on the forum gone this route. If so I would appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Joe

I would have used it with mine but the case would have taken up to a year to settle and I couldn't go that long without riding a bike that was sitting in my garage. I traded for another. Do a search of my name and read previous posts. H-D does not stand behind failure bikes. Good luck.

I did on a GM car and lost my A**. It is all a scam, although I didn't have to pay the attorney, but we didnt win a damn thing, and it took a long long time... and during this time you are supposed to put limited miles on it, weather a car or bike... good luck with your fight and hope you can win.... Lord knows I didn't!

Lemon Laws vary by State. Find out what yours requires before HD must take back the bike.

In Wisconsin, the vehicle must have been to the dealer three times for the same problem, and still not be fixed, within the first 12 months or ownership. (first owner only)
When the vehicle is returned to HD (or the designated dealer) they deduct 26 cents per mile for every mile you have put on the bike.
This amount is deducted from what you paid, and the remainder is returned to you.
No dealer or manufacturer will talk to you. They will ignore you until you hire an attorney, and then they will be very polite and matter of fact with the attorney.

A buddy at work is suing HD now. There are lawyers that will take it with no charge to you. If you want email me and I'll get his lawyers name and number for you.
I went after GM for a car that was always in the shop, they settled out of court.

I lemon law-ed my 2004 Chevy Colorado.. Here in Fla, it states.. 3 or more visits to the shop for the same problem they can't find, fix or duplicate.. and 16 days or more in the shop..

Mine would go to idle for about 30-40 seconds while driving down the road.. nothing I could do, then it would act normal again..

So I lemon Law-ed it.. Got all my money back including financing etc. no problem..
Here in FLA> there is supposed to be a lemon law pamphlet in your glove box when you buy a new car..

I do not know about the motorcycles though..
