I know we all hear these stories, maybe avoid them, and then hope it never happens to someone we know.
Thursday night was a bad bad night for just about everyone I know. Hasn't been much sleep since then.
A very good friend of mine was riding home here in Charleston and got hit by a elderly man in his truck. Thankfully this happened right in front of Fire Station where the guys have EMTs. The accident de-footed him. So without that fast, first response, he'd be gone right now. I can't say enough about you EMTs out there....
Anyway, Tim is still unconscious because he's pretty messed up. The Doc's don't want him awake.
So far he has lost his left leg under the knee and may end up loosing the whole leg by the time it's over.He has alsolost his spleen.
We are praying he's going to be ok. Friggin nightmare.
Tim is a Veteren, a patriot guard rider, a DoD employee, a good Father, and good man and friend.
I am not religious in the slightest. This is for my Friend Tim. If you decide to pray for him, please make it a good one....
Sounds like somebody upstairs wants to keep him around still. If it had to happen it couldn't have been in a better place. My prayers are out for him. I have friend that lost his leg from the knee down last year in a fire when a chimney fell on him. He's doing awesome with his prosthetic. Tell your friend to try and keep his spirits up and look for the reason the "Big Guy" didn't call him home yet.
