This is my 1st Harley and have been reading alot about engine upgrade for perfomance. What would you suggest for a perfomance upgrade that wouldn't be a bank buster.
I'd suggest you putting Screamin Eagle slip-ons....It will breathe better ( horsepower ) and should sound better ( mine did )! Also, with just slip-ons you won't have to remap the computer! My 2 cents...
I added the nightrider O2 IED to richen it up and the SE air cleaner with stage 1 download. It made a big difference in low end torque. Real nice when going through the mountains. I don't have to down shift as much. Thw whole upgrade only cost me about $400. I did everything but the download.
Add some crome leave the rest alone.
At least untill you have had the time to do your home work and learn what your getting into.
Most Hd owners have no real problems with thier bike untill they start messing with the engines.
you do not have to do a thing to your Hd for it to run well
Good sny oil and lubes is a good start

First, what busts the bank? That differs a lot for most folks. Then, since it's your first Harley, what's your hurry? Get used to it, understand it, grow feelings for it, then you will just naturally know what you want to change and why.
