Default 103cc Question

What is the difference between the 103cc in the 07-08 FLHTP-I's and the Screaming Eagle 103s?

About 1587 cc's, I'd say.

The 103" kits installed by the dealership(s) is the Screamin' Eagle® Street Legal Big Bore Stage II Kit.

Dogman,
The Police bikes have a stock motor (96) with bigger jugs and pistons to make it a 103. The SE stage 2 kit takes it a step up with the addition of cams...

The 103 that I had built for my '07 FLHT has the jugs and cases like the cop bikes, but it also has SE heads, 257 cams, rollers with beefed up supports, a SERT, a Fat Cat 2 into 1, manual compression releases......etc. Yeah, it's a different animal.

I guess I should have added that my motor ain't EPA friendly in any way shape or form either. Nor does it have the same warranty potential that the EPA compliant motor has.

Dogman: In addition to the Service Manual for your '07 FLHTPI, pick-up the HD Parts Catalog for it--with the Parts Catalog you can compare part numbers for cams, heads, crank, etc. with the parts catalog for the CVO 103" motors used from '04-'06. You can also ask the parts guys at the dealership to print out the kit breakdown for the SE Big Bore 103" kits to do the same thing.

The CVO 103" motors use a different crank/flywheel than your '07 cop bike 103, which uses the same crank in the stock 96" motor. The CVO4 3/8" crank retails for about 1300 bucks; your crank is about 650.

Good luck with your research.
