driver adjustable backrest broke
well im not impressed with the qaulity of material used on the adjustable backrest, just got mine from zanetti and the lever that holds the cable ferrul on the backrest side was bent in when i got it so i tried to unbend it and one side broke off from metal fatigue. this lever is made of pot metal its hard to believe it would last over time. doe anyone know if parts are available for these backrest, i hate to have to send the whole backrest back.

All of the parts are available individually from the dealer. They have a websight they go to that they can break most parts down to the smaller pieces if it's not in the book. Check with the parts guys and they should be able to help you out. The lever that you are talking about should not have been bent at all. If it was bent when you got it, then you should have taken it back and got another one. Mine had a bad cable ferrule on it when they tried to install it for me before I picked up the bike and they sent me a new cable to my house and I installed it. 5 minute job and I was good to go. My backrest works perfect and has had no other problems.
Good luck!
