I spend my time on the Dyna side, but I wanted to let others know what I found and I have to say a lot of you all might have heard about the www.ridelikeapro.com or www.ridelikeaprowestcoast.com . these folk's teach advance riding skill at their locations or by DVDs. After riding on & off since the 70 's I have learn alot from the DVDs.
check it out.
I'm only a customer not a owner.
I've watched the dvd, and the course layouts that you can print on their website help a lot too. The dvd really helped my wife a lot with her confidence and skill also. It's good for both experienced, and inexperienced riders. Even if you know how to do all the stuff, it's still fun to set up the cones and play around in a parking lot.
I'm actually taking the Experienced Rider Course this Sunday. Been thinking about it for a while and finally decided to do it. Even if I only learn 1 thing, that may save my (or the wife's) *** just once, it will be worth the $150.
I'll let you know what I learned and thought of the class.

Dave...
Please pass along your thoughts on what you learn from the ERC.
I am very interested in your opinion of the ERC class.
I have taken the MSF/Experienced Rider Course once a year for the last five years.
I have also been lucky enough tohave taken the Ride Like A Pro course three times.
There is no comparison to the two classes. They are totally different.
The MSF/ERC is a riding safety class that gets you a motorcycle endorsement and possibly a discount on your insurance.
The RLAP course exercises teach you how to ride, handle andmaneuver your motorcycle. This improves your abilities, your skill level and your confidence. IMHO- A better rider is a safer rider.
My Thoughts...get the RLAP dvd, this is the best money you can spend on your scoot! PRACTICE the RLAP dvd exercises! Don't just buy the dvd and "watch" it. Do the exercises (one at a time) on the dvd. Apply the disipline to practice and perfect the exercises. Learn to be the best rider you can be.
The RLAP V dvd has the motor officer course at the end. I'm only 'bout half way through 'em but I am practicing.
Below is a 22 foot Iron Cross/Intersection exercise.
Ride Safe, Be Safe and keep your eyes on the horizon.
I bought the ride like a pro 4 DVD and really learned a lot from it. I've been riding well over 15 years too. Last time the motorman gave people a discount for mentioning the forum. Haven't seen him on here since ride like a pro 5 came out. Either way, it's money well spent.
Welcome to the Touring side.
RLP DVD has been on this forum countless times... and it's worth every penny!!!!
I have most of their course painted in a nearby empty subdivision. I enjoy tooling around on my course almost as much as the long rides.
It's a blast!
