Anyone got any expewrience of losing the batwing off an ultraclassic? I have an 07 se2 and would love to remove the batwing.I guessthe stereo go on the tourpak, speakers in the legshield (if they dont melt from the 110" enginge) but it would be good to retain all the guages and switches somewhere. Yeah I know it sounds insane and I should have bought a RK. but I love the extras. Any thoughts? (other than having me committed)
Also I am mechanically challangred any advice on pipes and tuning to cool this b#####d engine down so I can actualy sit on it in traffic? Cheers All.
You can make your mind up real easily. It's just a handful of screws to get the fairing off. Do that, take a look at everything that they stuff under there, and tell us if you still want to tackle that project. You might be better off trading for a Road King.
You would need to be a notch higher than mechanically challenged to take on a task like this and then you still wouldn't be able to retain all the bells and whistles.
As for the heat there are a few things you can do to help control it do a search you will have tons of good reading
