Sounds about right. The decision to add an oil cooler was a good one, IMO. Did you buy the thermostat too?

At 170-180 is your thermostat even opening to allow oil flow to the cooler?
19. At what temperature does that thermostat operate?[/align] The actuator begins to move at 185ÂşF. By 195ÂşF it is fully-actuated, plugging the by-pass hole, and directing 100 percent of the oil's flow to the oil cooler. http://www.setrabusa.com/jagg%20file...s/FAQjagg.html
I wonder if your oil is getting hotter than 170-180, and then opening the thermostat. Maybe once it is open it is cooling it down to the 170-180 range but that is still hot enough to keep the thermostat open?
Sensor is in the pan, oil at the cooler is hotter. Miss. Bagger if your in the Gulport area we will be there Sunday on our return to La. Pm me we do a small beach run.

FLHTim,
Now you got me wishing I had gotten the 10 row Jagg instead of the 6 row! Sounds like your set up is running about as perfect as it can get! With my setup I am running 190-200, and that it two up between 70-80 mph in the high 70's. (temp measured in the pan)
I'm about 350 miles north, just 30 miles outside of Memphis.
