Due to not having any extra room in the fairing risers aren't an option. There are several bars out there that can get you the 2" or so that you are looking for. Wild 1 makes the WO575 that will do the trick for you, they make them for the 08 TBW and you run all the wires internally. Khrome Werks is coming out with their sweeper bars with the notches cut in them for the 08's also.
I have added the HD pullback bars on my 08 FLHX.
They dont have them for 08 yet so you have to cut the hole in the center of the bar for the throttle wires.
They are better as far as reach.
As was said "risers" are not an option.
However the angle of the grips is nowtighter, meaning your wrist is not at such a natural angle.
So as usual Im going to do what I shouldhave done in the first place.
By a pair of Wild1 575's and install them.
Fairing mirrors are virtually useless on my FLHX anyway. When I get my 575's installed im going to go with bar mounted mirrors and put more speakers where my mirrors were!
