Installed inner on my '07 FLHRC. Not difficult, fit fine with a little patience. Did loosen the flange nuts for the rear cyl header to get back half piece in, also pulled pass floorboard to get at cover bolt. 20 mins, tops.
One thing I did do though is take a cut off wheel on my grinder and cut off the bump out on the front of the inner cover, not the one on top front which covers the shift shaft, the other one which covers the sensor/switch,which would have beenin the way when I pull the oil filter. Also allows me to get to the switch if need be. No pics but I'll take a few.
Kuryakyn makes front and rear extensions for the primary cover, it covers the shifter shaft in the front, and it covers back to the frame in the rear when using a 2-1 exhaust.

bubiker - here are the pics of where I cut off the bumped out piece of the cover. wasn't the inner primary cover, piece I cut off was on the cylinder base cover where it covered the CKP sensor.
