The gauge panel on a Road King can be adjusted back to match the front of the seat by loosening the two mounting screws and sliding it back. Don't know about other models. Also the after market seats for the different models have different length fronts, so if you get one off a Street Glide you have a gap if you try to put it on a Road King.
