As a disabled veteran I do not see anything wrong with members of other countries showing Honor to our fallen comrades. At this age/time very few if any from other countries will be going to the wall.
Just because they are not Americans does this mean they can not show respect and give Honor to the fallen ones who gave all?
I am a member of the "Military Order Of The Purple Heart" and wear my Patch proudly. I have been given thanks and Honor from many that are not Americans.
I was driving up and down I-81 today watching all of the motorcycles headed to D.C. for Road of Thunder and saw a lot of jap bikes and some german also. Surely these people aren't headed to D.C. on those to honour our war dead!
If you were not refering to the bikes then why did you post the comment above?
Sorry but I don't get it. Just my thoughts
Now go ride
And not to mention that Japan and Germany both are serving along side the US Military in Afghanistan....
For my brothers in Arms (this encludes Japanese and Germans) feel free to ride along side with me and ride what ever moves your heart....[sm=biker2.gif]
Also, Isn't it great that The American Military gave up their lives and freedoms to the first poster so he has the freedom to post his views!!

Amen! I won't be in DC this weekend, but my unit had our own ride today. 150+ bikes honoring our fallen, all of the fallen. Ride what you want, just ride and remember.
+1, couldn't resist the opportunity to have three Warrants in a row chime in on this subject. The ride is symbolic and I don't see how the kind of bike you're on affects the statement being made.
Japan and Germany may not have as many people in Iraq as US but they do have some there. I sat next to them in the same chow hall and ate the same food.
By the way my ancestry is from Germany. My great-grandfather fought in WW I , my grandfather fought in WW II , I fought in Iraq (all on the side of the US). I hope I can still be a member of this great nation and be allowed to ride a Harley.
I wish I could be there to honor my brothers and sisters, but I will have to do it in my own way.
To all who have served, and all who are now serving around the world today God bless keep safe.I have frends, andfamily whoes names are on a wall in D.C. Not two many WWII and dam fewer WWI heroes around any more. We have been losing Korean Vets too. I landed in Viet Nam in 65 and in 66, I just want to say thank you to all who served befor me and all who served after, you are my Heroes.
One of these "JAPS" was my father. Five of those 9,500Purple Hearts are his to go along with the three Bronze Stars and many other decorations he earned. He fought in Italy and France while his mother and sisters were in internment camps. I too am a Viet Nam Era veteran. Thanks for mentioning the men of the 442 RCT. They are some of the bravest of the brave. We are Japanese Americans..........NOT JAPS!
This is also the Red River Memorial Day Rally in Red River New Mexico. I didn't get to make it this year and man I'm missing it. The Memorial Day ride out to the Vietnam Memorial outside Angle Fire is sobering.
