Well it has just been the wife and I riding our bikes around enjoying ourselves for the last 2 years. I thought it was great when she decided she needed her own bike. This week our 16 yr old son came home with a grin and said guess what the neighbor gave him? He told me he had a 1982 Honda GL500 sitting in his barn for about 6 years and if he hauled it out he could have it. I figured this has to be a piece of junk. Well it turns out it only had 18,000 miles on it and a carburetor job and a little loving care made it into a pretty nice "free" ride. Now he can ride along everywhere we go! Fun right? That is yet to be seen but it is kind of neat and at least we will know what he is up to.
Here is a picture of how it cleaned up after digging 6 years of barn dust off.
