Default Road report & Question

Hi All,

Hope everyone had a great memorial day and took the time to remember those that have served. We did a road trip starting on thursday afternoon and returned on Sunday night so we could be back here for the services, We started out in Hillsboro New Hampshire around 2 on thursday and stopped for the night in Weedsport New York. Got to try out the new Frog toggs, They worked great, kinda funny looking though in bright yellow. Friday morning got on the road at 7:00 and arrived at Cedar Point theme park in Sandusky Ohio around 2 in the afternoon. did the park both Friday & Saturday. Left the cedar point early enough to check out Roeder Harley in Sandusky. Picked up the obligitory shot glass and T-shirt. Left Sandusky at around 8 am on sunday morning and rolled back into Hillsboro NH about 10 . Total round trip mileage 1101. We noticed a couple things 1.) for being a holiday weekend there was light traffic. 2.) we counted 0 class c or class a RV's, and only a couple tag-alongs. 3.) no lines at restraunts 4.) no no vacancy signs at any of the hotels. All pretty odd for a holiday weekend. Here's the question, How many miles in a day is considered an iron butt ride? After all those miles yesterday, I got back on the bike and did our normal ice cream run down to Kimballs Farm in Jaffery NH and back and it was like I hadn't ridden at all this weekend. God I love that FLHTC.

Thanks to all that have served us, it is appreciated.

Nice report. Iron Butt Award is for 1000 miles in 24 Hours. You have to go to their website to find out how th document it. I don't remember the address but if you Google Iron Butt Association you'll find it.

I guess gas prices are keeping a lot of people home this holiday, but it made for a better ride for you.

George.

Thursday , Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and 1101 miles, is like what??? 300-400 miles a day? on any touring bike that's just about getting the bike warmed up.... important thing is the fun you had on the road...
