Default K&N Oil Filter?

Anybody running a K&N oil filter on their bike? Was at Cycle Gear today to pick up some Redline for my next oil change and grabbed a filter because it was there and would save me a trip to the dealer. Been using them for several years on my trucks and cars, but never on the bikes. Any opinions out there -good, bad, who cares?

I haven't used them yet, but I'm going to buy a 4 pack from Eastern for $52 for my next oil changes. I like the welded nut on the end for install/removal............a lot easier then the cup wrench I've been using.

I use the KN-171C. I have had no problems with the filter. The Harley tech at my dealership said it was superior compared to the HD filter. For all scheduled maintenances, I bring in my AMS oil (four 20w50 and two 75w90) and KN filter. The same tech referred to the AMS oil as the best in the business.

Love them. They have great specks and with the nut on the end, makes changes lots easier than with the strap. Win, Win!

Been using K&N filters for years on my cars, boat and bikes. Never had a problem and like the welded nut and the quality of filtration.
