Default Want to learn- Why do bikes die? Wiring issues

I am always wanting to learn stuff. I have read on forums (not only Harleys) about how bikes cut out or even die, do to moisture in connections or bad connections. I am working on this issue now but got some ideas to help.

My question is WHY do bikes DIE? I can understand a light blinking or flickering, or maybe even the bike missing, but why does it die all together and then usually fire back up?

Been hot rodding for years and dealt with bad wiring connections but most did not cause the car to ever die...........Why bikes?
