Thanks for the props on the pics and write-up. I've learned from others what seem to be the more helpful posts on accessories, and simply try to duplicate what I've seen from others that I've liked--pictures of the product, vendor/price information, and how easy/difficult it was to install.
Thanks for the nice write-up and pictures. I've known about these for a few years and always planned to add them to one of my bikes, but never got around to it. Reviews state that the triangular light pattern they make to oncoming traffic greatly improves your noticability. I recently (during the daytime) saw a bike coming towards me with these and I must admit they really do make you more noticable. From your write-up, installation sounds straight-forward and pretty simple. I'm going to order a set and hope I can get them installed before my trip later in June. Thanks again.
on my RG, I do lots of nightriding, and am slowly becoming batlike as years go on.
I'm more concerned about what and where the road will be lit up for highway riding, and how well it will define the road in glare from oncoming headlights....only lights I saw that handled that were piaa 600 hid's and was thinking of fabbing up something for those regardless of how big and ugly they are, and as a bonus, they use less power.
Now that I've seen the kuryakyn post above, this is gonna sound like overkill, but I was thinkingof trying the motolights below w/ yellow lights for contrast, + the Kuryakin kit above. Will the stock battery handle that? I will only use either the Kury'sor moto's as condictions dictate in conjunction w/ lo deual beams, or maybe occasional high beams. I'm also going to add the eurodualbeam kit.
Any comments from either owners regarding long range effectiveness..ie how many yards down the road can you see, and will that be in rain with oncoming glare? I need to get on this soon.
Those don't look too bad there. But when I get my bagger. I am installing a pair of Hella FF50s where you have the lights on your crash bars. They are bright too, and may look a little less out of place on the bike.
