I just put one on my 07 UC made a noticable difference, virtually no air coming up from front of tank, went to dealer and ordered the black "replacement" part for the older bikes (pt#58520-79A)cost about $13.00. you will also need 2 1/4x20 bolts. I would recommend running a tap through the holes because they are painted and very difficult to run bolts in if not done. With the black on you can hardly tell it is there. You can get a chrome one from the dealer also (about double the $)- cheapest chrome part you'll put on.
Helps a ton, get a chrome one from the dealer about 20 bucks or ask them if they have any takeoffs, they might just have a black one in the back. Or they can most likely order you a black one, the are stock on the Road Glides.
That was one of the first things I added to my SG. The updraft was driving me crazy. While it did help, it took adding the "wings" to the side of the fairing to completely eliminate the updraft. I still get a little bit of buffeting at the top of my head though. Hoping that my new windshield is setting the porch when I get home, will eliminate that.
It is worth the money though....cheapest thing I've put on the bike yet....
Ok, going to sound like a dummy, ..........but..........what are you calling a "fork baffle"? What does it look like, and I assume it mounts on the forks......???

Yes the baffle works, but if you have lowers your engine may run a little hotter. They come stock on the Roadglides and if you get the hard lowers it tell you to remove the baffle.
I put mine on in the winter and remove it in the summer.
