I also have their tourpak stand. Use both all the time.

+1. work great for washing and polishing the bags. I use to use the old carpet on the ground but always had drips of water on the exhaust after putting the bags back on. With the stands, you can wash the bags prior to the bike and they will be completely dry before you put them back on. Another thing that I did that was along the lines of the rubber bumpers was to add some clear non skid tape to protect the finish on the bottom of the bags in the event I need to take them off on the road and there is nothing to set them on.

why not just st them on the ground so what if the bottom get scratched are you ever going to see it? NO. If it not a show bike then scratches are just a good story to tell.
