Battery dead covers a lot of territory!
What's the present battery voltage?
What reaction do you get when you turn on the ignition?...when you hit the start switch?
Charge the battery and load test it.
A bad cell can happen at any time regardless of the age or condition of the battery.

Does your engine light come on? If not check your ignition fuse. I tried to start mineand the battery konked out butafter I charged the battery the engine light wouldn't come on and the security system wouldn't disarm. I changed the fob battery but it was a blown fuse.
