Going camping?
As for packing, I used to put my standard 7'X7' tent, airmattressand my sleeping back on the tourpak rack. Duffle bag with clothes inside tourpak with room for jacket. other camping gear in saddlebags. Seemed to have more room in my Heritage.

For cooking or making coffee, you can't beat a can of sterno and this stove- http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___87526
Works great and takes up little space.
Make sure you have rain gear and layers...never can tell with the weather.

Also think about where your going to camp. For example, at Sturgis it might be a hundred degrees during the day, but its gets down to thirty in the area mountains campgrounds at night.
