handlebar change?

Anyone know if you can replace the stock handlebars with pair that is slightly higher than stock without changing cables and such? This would be on my 2001 Roadking FLHR.

put a set of heritage bars on my 06 roadking... didnt have to change anything..it took me about 1 hr. 15mins.. put on about 150 miles so far so good
