Looked at all the ones suggested, but I really do not want a radio in my fairing... so today I was talking to Dragonfly and he said... try Corbin... anyone use the Corbin fairing... it is simple and I like the idea. Painted to match my bike about 1300... the others have an inner and it just doesn't look right with the massive blanks where the speakers and the radio is upposed to go... any experience or thoughts?
I went with the Bob Dron fairing as a temporary fix and it has exceeded my expectations. I actually do want a stereo in my fairing, but didn't want to spend the cash on it right now as there is a Glide that was traded in that I may try and get as soon as the deal is finalized. It's not as big (width mainly) as most of the rest, but it works well and can't beat the price (found mine on Ebay for 152.00). I'll have to spend a few bucks on paint, but should bedone for under $200.00 (I'm just going with black). Problem is that it's been raining here the last week or so and I don't want to take it off to paint until it's a little drier. I attached a stock picture of one I found online. Don't know if it's anything like what you're looking for, but it is a fairing, it does not have a radio and it's considerably less expensive than the Corbin.
Hoppe makes a non radio model and Firebagger/Tsukayu make theirs available without radio but it can be added later if you choose. The Firebagger is fiberglass and lockable with S.S brackets
make sure you check with Corbin on mounting. I sent them pictures of my running light brackets and they said their fairing wouldn't mount with my type of brackets.
want a fairing without a radio. watch on eBay and you can find mid 80s Harley fairings that mount in a couple of minutes for about $200. they mount on the 4 acorn nuts that secure the mounts for your quick detach windshield.
JCB, I have the Bob Dron, it has a cool factor to itbutit only keeps the wind off your chest but you get full wind in your face, The sield it comes with is 6 1/2 inches and I had one made a plastic place that was 8 1/2 inches, it helped alittle bit.
Check ebay for either the Dron one on do a search on Corbin in Yahoo or Google and sometimes they come up if someone is selling one at ebay or craigs list. I just bought the corbin touring one for $400. compared to $1200. good luck.
