Default PCIII and checked plugs

Before I put my Rush and PCIII on I checked my plugs to see what color they were from just running my B&E Mufflers and Big Sucker with the HD richer fuel download. Plugs looked a little lean but pretty good.

I since have put on my RUSH slip on's and PCIII Touring set up that Fuel Moto pre-set for me and road about 50 miles on the hiway mostly. Pulled the plugs to check the color last night and was surprised that they are pretty much the same color. I expected them to be golden/brown or at least a little darker since it is suppose to be running richer. Too cool outside to tell if the bike is running any cooler with the PCIII. I also did the throttle adjustment right up front.

Also an old Hot Rod Head so I am pretty used to pulling and reading plugs to see how she's runnin.
Just some feedback. Kinda surprised.

I installed same setup about 1000 miles ago. Haven't pulled plugs (been meaning to) but also suspected I was running a little rich. Especially considering how black/sooty that right pipe is. Glad to hear they look good. I need to check myself.

Dont expect to get much info from reading the plugs, with fuel we have these days you can only typically use this a guidelines as extreme rich/extreme lean. And for the soot in the pipes if you have the stock headpipe the RH muffler will always be a bit black and the left clean. Unless excessive, black soot is normal, check the pipe in your car. I agree it sure was nice back in the old days when you could tune off plug readings.

Another way to do it take a ride at higher rpm / speed3k 65MPHand cut off the ignition and glide over to the side of the road and pull the rear plug. If you decellerate you get an idle reading. This way you can see you r higher RPM burn. My wrench taught me that one.
