Bike seems to pull to the left when I let go with both hands.....I don't do this at high speed, but just replaced rims, and it doesn't seem to track straight.....Is this normal? 05' road king, THanks
It's not normal. If it didn't do it before you replaced the rims, make the coathanger tool described in the service manual and check your side-to-side rear wheel alignment.
Mine has a veryvery slight pull to the left. I don't know but left seems to be very common. I have not heard of any bikes pulling to the right.
It is so slight I don't worry about it. I don't do that much no hands riding.
I've found mine tracks straight when I ride on the passenger seat with no hands.A trick I learned from a old friend, RIP.
Seriously, I changed my fork oil to SE oil and pumped the forks as described in the DIY section and it now tracks straight. Road crown, weight distribution, windshield alignment, and clutch cable pressure can also be an factor.
Seriously though, I think most baggers have this issue. My '03 RK did it and I found many posts on the net that discussed it. I test drove an '08 Ultra and it did it. The problem seems to be that some of the jigs that the MOCO uses to assemble the bikes are not straight. The dealers can re-align the wheels by adjusting the links on the engine (supposedly).
