Just wanted to check if anyone has had the pleasure of replacing these bushings on a Road Glide?
I got everything removed handlebars, Spedo and wires out of the way but i noticed that i'm going to have one heck of a time getting a wrench on the bottom side.Any tips or tricks out there? I'd really hate to take the Fairing off.
not sure about a bike with a fairing but I just replaced the bars on my 02 roadking and also replaced the bushings. was pretty easy on my bike with the use of a 1/2 inch deep socket and rubber hammer.
They are a real SOB to change with the fairing on but it is possible to do. When I did mine, I did one side at a time without taking bars completely off due to the fact that I have internal wiring, turn the bars all the way one way to get under and take the bolt out. I should have did it when I had the fairing off but forgot, will never make that mistake again. I took me about 1.5 hours to do it.
