After an afternoon of (@$#%?*^)trial and (^$%#*@) investigation and trailering the bike back to the home, it is the fuel coupler at the tank or directly related to it...when doing a full pull in first orsecond gear the bike just shuts down...I reach down move the fuel line (wiggle), the bike jump starts its self and off I go...???
I drop the line out of the couple inspect (looks good to me), snap back in the fitting and it is good to go until it decides to act up again...[:@]Last time it acted up was a 1000 miles ago.
I had a 99 FLHR that did the same thing...wind it up a bit in first, a bit more in second and it would simply run out of gas. That 99 was a carbureted model. I changed the tank fuel valve to a hi-flow Pingel valve and it never happened again.
Obviously your bike is FI and my story might not help much....but your description sounds an awful lot like what I experienced.
Sounds to me like you are on the right trouble-shooting track!

Yeah I agree I am in the right area...and yes it is EFI thanks for the response
Hoses can collapse inside itself...there is a ball valve there at the coupler...dirt in the tank? or maybe something very simple that someone else ran across.
I'd check the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and look for a crack in the fuel pump, in that order. If memory serves me right it seems like several folks have had the fuel pump crack at the mounting points and one of our members reporting a fuel mist in the tank when his mount cracked. That's be easy to see, just open the fuel tank with less than a full tank of fuel and turn the switch on.
