I just traded my 07 CVO Springer on an 08 black Ultra!!! I'm back in the club. The dealer, Barbs HD on NJ gave me $2000 off! If I wanted a Road Glide they were giving 3K off ! Are all dealers doing this?
That sound like a good deal! Congrats. How much were the fees on this deal? Did they add back processing, setup, delivery and other fees to get back closer to msrp?
I traded my 07 CVO Dyna in September of 07 to get my new 08 Ultra haven't looked back since. The CVO was a cool ride but I was uncomfortable after 50 miles and I couldn't carry much.
I agree Curt, its all about keep up with the Jones'. Congrats on your new bike, but my God, 07 for a 08?
Congrats on your new bike and if you have some extra money send it my way, I'll trade my 08 for a 08
Now, how do you know why someone trades an '07 for an '08, and why would you even care? I traded my '07 for an '08 and it wasn't to "keep up with the Jones". I wanted to change from a softail to a touring bike with ABS.
And no, I won't send you some extra money, you'll have to earn your own.
I traded a 07 Wide Glide for a 08 Electra Glide Standard. Miss the WG but I will not leave the EG family again. I might git a second bike later on. But I like riding the EG too much.
But if they come out with a Water Cooled model I will never trade.
Oh yea the 08 model runs better than the 07 model too.
Even with the BS dealer prep fee that is a good price. You may want to post the addfrom their websitein the general section, I bet others might be interested in a new bike.
