Just wondering if anybody else with hog tunes fairing speakers have noticed that at highway speeds when you turn the radio near full blast, if sometimes it sounds like it distorts a little? I bought them off e-bay from easternPerformance Cycle and realized maybe I got a defective set that didnt pass standards or something. I was told that all speakers will distort at full or near full power unless you have an amp? I dont know.

I think that it is the source distorting, and not the speakers.

With the stock speakers and receiver, both distorted.

 

I'll call Pez, I probably just need to add his amp I guess.

 

Go with the amp,you won't be sorry. The improved sound quality is awesome,plus you won't have to crank it at highway speeds.
