Mine has been very handy, 2610 and RAM mounts. I am looking at getting a NUVI 350 as well. just because of how compact they are. Was at my daughters softball tourney this weekend and it was great to be out of town and just punch a few buttons and be led right to the restaurants
I bought the Zumo 550 a week before leaving on a 5000 mile trip out west. Never thought that a GS would be so helpful, found gas stations, hotels, and a buddy riding with me had the XM / weather option and we were warned of a tornado warning that we were riding right into. I like and it will reside permanently on my bike.
If you are going to get a Zumo I recommend going with the 550 rather than the 450. The key is the 550 comes with blue tooth andthe auto mount, a suction cup arm and a mount that you snap the Zumo into when using the Zumo in a cage. The mount has a built in speaker so you can hear all the directions and also a built in microphone so, when the Zumo is paired thru blue tooth to your cell phone, you can use it hands free in the cage. I also leave the blue tooth connected to my cell when on the bike. I don't answer or make calls when riding but when someone does call the CID information shows up on the Zumo so that I know I received a call and from who so I can decide when and if I need to pull over to return the call.
Thanks Wags. Can it be set up so the turn by turn voice directions go thru my bluetooth earpiece instead of my speakers etc?
Yes you can definitely do that. It is an either or thing though so if you are using the Zumo for music too then the directions and the music would go to your BT earpiece. Either everything goes thru your speakers or everything goes thru your BT earpiece. Lots of good info on the Zumo over at the Zumo forum - http://www.zumoforums.com
