And I am sure SKIP approves of the lessening of chrome on the bike (Especially the front end!

I kinda like the black front end. A friend of mine has a RoadKing with black forks, but what's with no front fender on a touring bike?

I cant stand the stock fender......hides the wheel and looks like my 5 yr old designed it. I am building a fork brace with some slick details....

Save the front fender. Ya never know when someone building a fat bob will need it to fab a rear fender.

LOL, I'm sure you'll get plenty of comments about the lack of a fender. My CMA chapter gave me a plastic fork on a string so's I'd always have something to eat the road kill splattered on me.

Been thinking of a fork brace myself. It'd mount using the fender mounting bolt holes. Let's see your design when you get it going.
