I'd like to see something like a black carbon fiber on the inner fairing.. don't like the look of the wood applique.. and the gloss of the painted ones just doesnt' look right to me

I have a 08 Street Glide and I dont mind the black stock color, although I think in my opinion it looks rather cheap, although I wouldnt color match it, I think that is too much color as my bike is Crimson Red Sunglow, so I would probably paint it vivid black if I were to do it... I like the stock guages that are on the 08's they are sharp with the chrome trim.

Mine is currently stock black. I do like the idea of a color matched painted inner. I have thought about getting some of the HD chrome looking rings to go around the guages but haven't bought any yet. Might be interested in other chrome pieces.

 

Same here.....big difference in the painted ones for appearance.
