Default Electrical Load on a Glide

Im not 'mechanically inclined'....so to speak. I can turn nuts and bolts, etc.I'd like to ask you experienced folks about the 'allowed' electrical load on my '07 EGS. Since I bought this bike...Ive added (electrical) accessories.....up till now, all are H-D parts...'plug and play'.
[ul][*]Cruise Control[*]Rear Turn Signal Converter[*]Tour Pak wrap-around lighting, sidelights, and LED Spoiler[*]Saddlebag Latch Light Kit[/ul]
Im 'toying' with the idea of making the tour pak lights (wrap around) functional turn signals too.

In the future, I'd like to add...
[ul][*]Biketronics Radio Kit to start....later adding an amp and rear speakers[*]IMC Intercom System (Sierra Motorcycle Electronics)[*]Some kind of Engine & FrameLED Kit[*]Either H-D's Fog Light Kit or the MotoLights Kit[*]Garmin Zumo (or some type of GPS)[*]Possibly a utility light in the Tour Pak[/ul]
As of yet, I haven't used the Accessory Plug....was planning on that 'switch' for the fog lights or motolights. I understand there's an 'adapter' or "Y" connection for multiple accessories.

With these 'add-ons' Ive installed....and considering future additions....am I approaching 'overloading' my altenator's capacity?

I'd GREATLY APPRECIATE any comments and/or suggestions.

Thanks in advance....

LED's are a very low draw on the system.. swapping the regular bulbs in your turn signals/running lights for LED will help reduce the load on your syste, - you'll probably have to add the load equalizer so they flash

've got the HK Radio and aux amp, heatedgrips,HD GPS, HID ballast headlight, rear glow rails on the bags, LED Mirrors and windshield strip, heated seat, front caliper lights...tour pack lights, upper and lower spoilers, been running this for 2 yrs with no problems..
I did change out the turn signal bulbs for LED's, which only draw 1 watt each.
the Alt output on the 06 ultras is either 50 or 60 amp..I keep an eye on the voltmeter to make sure I'm running around 14 V on the road.. if I'm in stop and go, I shut down the seat and grips to lower the load.

here's the setup:

Default RE: Electrical Load on a Glide

Your service manual has a section in it that gives the amp load for the various lights.

Your '07 has at least a 45 amp charging system; may be 50 since this is what '08's have--but don't know about '07, though this too is in your service manual.

I had a problem with my rotor/stator several months ago, and with the same lights that you have (except for the latch lights), plus the HD fog lamps (that you don't have, yet),the Sevice Dept. at my dealership ran a test and came up with 38 amp load with everything turned "on."

LED's draw very little amperage; essentially negligible. The fog lamps/Moto lights are a significant draw, so I wouldn't try to run both "on" at the same time.

Just go through your bike and add up the amp loads of each electrical accessory and you will get a total.
