EFI - Sensitive to gas level??
https://www.hdforums.com/m_196675/tm.htm
I didn't even think about a pinhole in the fuel line as a root cause, but it makes sense since the bike exhibits the problem when the fuel level gets low. I might as well bite the bullet and replace all the fuel lines at the same time I R&R the filter. The idea of splitting the old fuel hose and using it as a chafe guard for the new line is worth it's wieght in gold. You can't buy this kind offeedback for love nor money.
Are there gasoline safe tie wraps in the market or should I justfriction fit the old fuel line around the new one? I'm thinking it should be a pretty snug fit and wouldn't require any additional securing method.

Chemical-Resistant Tefzel Tiesâ These ties are resistant to a wide range of chemicals, withstand high temperatures and UV light, plus meet UL 94V0 flammability requirements. Temperature range is -65°to +302°F (except for 70215K81, which is -50°to +302°F). Color is blue.
Parched-Environment Polypropylene Tiesâ These ties will not become brittle in dry environments. They also withstand the effects of acids, alcohols, and salts. Temperature range is 40°to 221°F. Color is black. [/align]
I knew someone had that info
If your miss is not related to a surge issue, then a hole in the line feeding the pump may be causing it to suck air when the fuel level drops below the hole. It sounds like you're on the right track. I would not suspect a fuel filter issue if the miss only occurs at low gas levels. Partially clogged fuel filters usually cause a loss of power at higher flow rates, like wide open throttle, and not related to the fuel level in the tank.
FYI, HD sells a fuel filter replacement kit @ $95.00!! My Bud at the Stealership told me while I'm in the tankI might as well R&R the fuel regulator. If I buy both at the same time he'll sell me the Filter kit for $51.00 and the Regulator @ $40.00.
We all know what HD stands for...Hundred-dollar. Heh, heh!
