Default Primary clank

Not sure what is up. I have an 08 SG. I come to a stop and I get a clank noise sometimes. Sometimes louder than other times. You can tell it is in the primary. Happens sometimes when shifting. I took it to my small Indy shop and they said something is not right and take it to the dealer since it is under warranty. They had it for 2 days and just called to say they hear nothing. WTF!!!!! It is raining right now so I can't take it for a test drive. I told them I will be up tomorrow and if it is still there when I&nbsp\\;test drive&nbsp\\;it they are keeping it til they hear what I hear. I have put 2000 miles on it and never had the noise til this week. I called my Indy shop and they said the dealer was full of it and to make them put a new clutch on or something. I have a long Father's day run next week and am really worried. I told them if they don't find the problem and I am stranded somewhere they will never hear the end of it.

It never did it in my 07 Fat Boy for 7000 miles and it never did it on my 08 Street Glide the first 2000 miles. I told them the Hog membership better save my a$$ in the middle of no where if the tranny fails.

my SG makes a clanking noise sometimes when either pulling in or letting out the clutch and its not the clank when shifting gears...... just working the clutch and not shifting. seems it mainly happens between 1st and 2nd gears shifting up or down.&nbsp\\; gonna try to get it to the dealer next week to have them listen to it.

Could be your clutch sticking? have them check adjustment and look at the clutch basket.

It's clutch bounce. Happens when you're feathering the clutch due to the high gearing, usually either first or second. 08 SG's don't do traffic queue's very well, I'm afraid..

Won't do it any harm, just beast the revs or stop. Easy peasey.
