New Handle bars on flhtcui
I just need an extra  \\;inch back and an inch higher(story of my life
).Two would be better but I'd rather not replace all the wiring and cables etc. The dealer says its about an $1800. job.Some say an inch you can do without mods.
Thanks
Clutch cable = 38649-98 \\; $57.99
Throttle = 38650-98 \\;$21.50
Idle = 56730-03 $22.95
retaining ring for clutch \\;cable \\;= 11143 $1.00
transmission side cover gasket = 36801-87C $4.00
exhaust gaskets (2) if you still have stock exhaust with crossover = 65324-83A $10.90 ($5.45 each)
 \\;
That's a grand total of $182.33 if you do it yourself! \\; You don't even need to drain the tranny fluid to change out the clutch cable as you can put the wheels up on 2x4/6 lumber and lean it way over on the jiffy stand so no fluid comes out when you pull the tranny side cover. \\; With help from this forum and a service manual you would be good to go! \\; If you don't have a service manual, add another $60 to the list for pn#99483-06 2006 touring service manual

I hope he's going to supply the KY jelly before he hands you that bill.
I don't know if you are interested in tackling the job yourself, but It's not that hard and can be done for about $50.
You need the touring pullback handlebar, part #55914-98. \\; I've bolted that bar up to an '01 and '04 Ultra Classic and didn't have to change any cables or extend any wiring. \\; You may need to re-route the clutch cable, but that's about it. \\; If you have aftermarket grips, you may have a rough time removing and replacing the left side grip. \\; That will give you the pullback you are looking for.

I've got an H-D handlebar chart that lists many choices for new handlebars but I don't know what the same specs are on the stock handlebars to be able to compare the difference.
Does anyone know the measurement specs on stock 2009 handlebars?
Also, does anyone have a step-by-step instruction with pictures?
None of my local dealers has the demo setup to find out which handlbars I need.
