Just got my 08' Electra Glide Classic back after a 2 week wait at my dealer with this problem. \\; The part is called the Fuel Filter Shell and is a $30 part. \\; My bike had 4,400 miles on it when the part failed. \\; The part is located inside the fuel tank. \\; I saw the part and one little plastic tab on the part shut the whole bike down when it broke. \\; What it does when it fails is that it messes up the pressurized fuel delivery through the fuel filter allowing the pressure to escape. \\; Good luck to you all waiting on the upgraded part. \\; It is hard to come by at this time.

62229-08A is the pn# for the filter shell and yes it is backordered. \\; 61011-04A is the pn# for the filter kit with 0-ring and yes that is also backordered.

Well, it's official. Add me to the list of fuel pump assemblies that have died. Glad it quit on the back roads instead of the interstate. Hope the parts are in soon, I was planning on leaving for the Mid-West Rally on the 26th.
