Default REMOVED BAFFLES

&nbsp\\;I removed the baffle from my SE slip-ons. Sound great, But I don't want to hurt my Girl, so what should a watch for in case this could cause problems.

removing your baffles should not hurt 1 thing with your bike. some say it might run leaner, but i disagree. your bike will lose some bottem end torque but not enough to notice, seat of the pants. hope this helps.

i thought removing the baffles takes away any back pressure you had left and runs richer
&nbsp\\;
what benefit do you get from removing them beside being louder ???

Your bike should have some back pressure, without back pressure you can burn your valves among other things. Just my 2 cents

The other thing to consider is the baffle is the only thing protecting the outer case of the muffler from the hottest part of the exhaust which could cause premature bluing. Much like your heat shields stay nice and chrome as they are held away from the hottest part of the header pipes.

you will lose low end tourqe. to burn valves you would have to remove the headers all together. no headers or exhaust manifolds will burn valves.
