Default Oil Mist

I have a 99 Ultra Glide Classic. There is a mist of oil that appears after hard riding by the breather. Does anyone know of a aftermarket kit or air system I can get to stop this problem>

There is a device that I've seen in the mags that is a block off plate. I don't know the name or a site though...Sorry

Do a search...but its called "Mystfree" by Doherty Machine. Kinda pricy. Lotsa (cheaper?) ways to help stop it. I use a sponge cut in half and gluded to the bottom on my air cleaner to sop up the oil. Others use a Stayfree mini pad.Or just run a line from the vents to down under the frame.

My 05 Roadking has always had oil coming from the breather. I changed the breathing to external hoses running to a filter under the engine, still leaked oil but no mess on the side of bike.I purchased a Hayden Krank Vent Plus which is a device that fits in the breather hose and controlls the crankcase preasure. Just returned from a 3000 klm trip and not a trace of oil from breather.

It's caused by the head breathers going into the backing plate of the air cleaner. You can re-route the hoses under the bike. New hoses "T" ed with a filter at the end of the hoses, costs about $25. But, you'll still have a drip. Or, get a Ness Big Sucker backing plate. Or, one like it with the closed loop venting. The vents are machined into the plate and directed back into the air inlet. Cost is about $80 on E-bay. No more oil mess.
