Does anybody here have the hooker slip ons? I was wondering if i could put in some different baffles that have more sound. i think they sound good but i wouldnt mind a little louder.
The big city thunder baffles will not work in the Hookers because of the megaphone design, \\; I have the hookers on my bike and at times i wish they were a little louder too. \\; If you set both right and left side mufflers to the Horsepower setting, \\; They are loud as hell. \\; But if you have them on the torque setting, They will be somewhat milder. \\; I have my left side set to torque and right side set to Horsepower, \\; Gives it more of a 2-1 scavenging effect. \\; The hookers are about the most free flowing slip ons out there, \\; If you want more volume \\; Just try adding True duals, \\; It will liven them up a little more
 \\;
Ok I am not aware of the horsepower and tourae mode with this exhaust. i do have the same exhaust as you from what it sounds, the tuned flow. Can you explain to me how i can change the sound. *

Chuck
I found instructions on doing this procedure. I am not sure what setting i will need to make it louder. maybe you can give me a little instruction from your experience please.

Thanks

Torque setting means more backpressure and less sound, \\; Horsepower setting means less backpressure and more sound.
Try em out, \\; You will definitely notice the difference in the sound of your exhaust and the feel of your bike
Do you have yours set on full tourqe and full horsepower or somwhere in between?
 \\;
I have my left side muffler set on full torque, \\; and my right side muffler set on full horsepower.

DRRANDALL1: \\; \\; \\; Yes the hookers are just a normal slip on, But due to the megaphone design of the muffler a standard baffle cannot be used.
I was not aware that they made a baffle that would slip in between the headpipe and the muffler.
