If you plan on riding this time of year you better BRING RAIN GEAR or allow plenty of time inthe event you need to pull over to wait for a storm to pass through!&nbsp\\; The flash storms this time of year are pretty heavy.&nbsp\\;

You might wanna give a call to the dealer renting the bikes too... I have never heard of a Harley Rental that was available&nbsp\\;for "one way".

Consider a toll pass (www.sunpass.com) if you decide on the Turnpike.&nbsp\\; It will end up costing more because you have to buy the transponder, $25, but being stuck at a tollbooth&nbsp\\;under the searing sun, with a hot engine cooking below you makes the investment worth it.

Ditto, Rain gear is a must this time of the year! Starting the summer rainy season.

Forget picking up in one place and dropping off in another.. It might work for car rentals with a national company who will charge you a pretty penny for the service, but it isn't happening with bikes.

I have never ridden in Florida, I keep saying I am going to come down for a summer vacation and bring my bikes, but my friends over on the ZRX owners association boards have told me several times DON'T DO IT.

I guess there are these huge winged creatures called "love bugs" that saturate the air and when they go SPLAT! they make quite the mess. I have seen pictures of bikes that have gone on distance rides in the summer and they and the rider were covered in dead bugs.

Also the humidity and thunder storms that seem to pop up every afternoon are a consideration.

Rental cars are cheap, and if you can expense it off to the company I'd sugest you drive to Miami, park the cage, rent a couple of baggers, with a supply of Novus plastic cleaner for the windshield, do your trip out to the Keys without the fatique of the Orlando to Miami ride, enjoy the sights, then&nbsp\\; ride back to Miami, hop in your rental cage and get to MIA or MCO to fly home.

This is just one mans uninformed opinion, your mileage may vary

Nah, Florida is a great place to ride. Just stay away from the tourist areas and there's some good rides. A group of us do a lot of great rides year round down here. The storms pass quick and the love bugs are only around for a couple months out of the year. They weren't nearly as bad in April of this year as they have been in other years.
