With the wife and I up ( along with all her stuff!) I have to run close to 50 lbs to keep from bottoming out. I know, that's more than HD lists as max pressure. You gotta do what you gotta do! \\;
Depends on whether you have the stock or Low profile shocks, different \\; max pressure. \\; The stock are I believe 30 psi and the low profile are 50 psi. \\; I am a husky guy, so I run the low profiles solo at about 30 psi and 2 up around 40 psi. \\;No bottoming out problems. \\; All depends on how much you and the other rider weigh and what type of ride you are looking for. \\; I would suggest play with some different settings on the same ride to figure out what works best for you.

I'm 215, wife is 130, bike loaded, I run 25-28 pounds...rides like a dream and soaks up most bumps and humps, haven't \\;bottomed out. 30-35 pounds found ride is too harsh.
Finding the right pressure is certainly a proccess. \\; I find myself at or slightly above the max pressure as weight becomes an issue. \\; How heavily we are loaded, road conditions and how "spirited" of a ride we are on all play into the equation. \\; Consider a hand pump for road side adjustments. \\; If you are bottoming out try a few more pounds. \\; If you are already above the max pressure and still having problems you may want to consider aftermarket shocks. \\; Just a few thoughts.
On my 2000 Road King I run 35lps in rear riding solo. \\; Run 50 lps running two up. \\; I am somewhat north of 400lps, wife is a svelt 175lps.

Hope that helps. \\; Moe Taters, Carlin Nevada
