Can Windex be used to clean Chrome on motor and mufflers ?
what is normally used to make it look shiny other than water ?

Chrome polish.&nbsp\\; I use either Turtle Wax or Mother's chrome polish on all the shinny, non-painted surfaces including the forks, mufflers and heat shields, engine and bag guards, etc.&nbsp\\; Works real good and leaves a very nice shine.

We have gallons of windex around my home. My wife is addicted. I dont find it useful on the bikes because it doesnt cut through the polish and waxes , but professional foaming glass cleaner in the can is my favorite new thing. I use it to do fast cleanings on my bike eveywhere. Windex just beads up and streaks where the cleaner shines streakless and polishes chrome pretty good. I use it to clean off bugs too. Ive been using it on the paint to remove bugs and clean in between washings. For chrome I spray it on wipe clean and buff with a second cloth. I clean my ultra head to toe in about and hour. I use a wax soap or glaze and the window cleaner for everything else. Does windsheilds great too.

If you have not tried the S100 polishing soap, you should give it a try.
Two ways to use it . . . rub it on, let it dry, and buff out.
or scrub all chrome and metal and then hose it off.

I recently started using it and it WORKS GREAT!

Read this: http://www.s100.com/s100_fr.htm

I found it to be absolutely true. No hype.

Windex works good for me on the chrome. Takes the bugs and road grit off and doesn't leave any spots.&nbsp\\; Bunch of good stuff out there, but IMO windex is the easiest/best result for the effort you put in.

Clean off heavy build-up first with Simple Green then Mcguires quick detailer works on everything, Windex leaves a film and doesn't even work well for what it was designed for...windows.

will he windex cause blueing or pits onto the chrome on engine parts and pipes due to heat if not polished.

Been using windex for years, never had any "film" left over. No blue on the pipes.&nbsp\\; Fingerprints will become burned on if they aren't cleaned off though.&nbsp\\; And you got it right about the "HD"

Does the S100 work on polished HD aluminum wheels?&nbsp\\; They get stains and are a bear to clean.
