I don't like Metzlers. The rear 150 was not as wide as stock and grip was no better than stock, IMO,&nbsp\\;and yes I had recommended air pressure. Front had what looked like dry rot lines after a few thousand miles although I do admit that it performed better than stock in not tracking groves and seams on the highway. Overall I was not impressed. Maybe I got an old or&nbsp\\;bad batch.
This is just&nbsp\\;my one time experience with Metzlers and your and others&nbsp\\;mileage may vary, so to speak.

On my Heritage and now my Road King, Metzlers have been good tires.&nbsp\\;Ride comfort, cornering, and&nbsp\\;everything except long life. My recent experience was on the rear of my RK.&nbsp\\;With just over 7,000 miles I had cords showing on a Metz when compared to Dunlops I get around 10,000 with a little tread still left. I put enough miles on the scoot to need a new rear Metz every 4 months where as I get around 7 months out of a Dunlop.
&nbsp\\;
The Dunlops have aways done everything I've asked of them and performed very well. I'm sticking with Dunlops...

When I twisted the thorotle on my stock tire it use to just smoke the tire in 1st and break free in second. Now it pulls the front end off the ground in first and I have only broke it loose 1 time in a turn with the metzler. I can assure you it sicks a lot better than a stock dunlop. I am however running a 150 in the rear and it is definatly wider than the stock tire.&nbsp\\;

I know this subject has been beat to death but I'm still having trouble deciding on a new set of tires. I thought my mind was made up to try Metzler's but last night I was at a local bike show and one of the contestants said that when going around curves his front metzler would sometimes slip. Most riders think they are great. I don't know. I'm more concerned with performance (rain, road groves, stability). Longevity is last on my list. Please offer your opinions.
I just posted a simlar question in the Touring section.&nbsp\\; I am taking a look athe Pirelli Night Dragon.&nbsp\\; they have great reviews from the professional reviewers and was looking for any experience here.&nbsp\\; I have the ME 880s on one bike and the stock Dunlops on the other and am looking to change those out.&nbsp\\; Have reviewed/assessed the other brands and this is my final review before making a pick.

What we need is a link to side by side test of tires. Maybe some one could write to Bagger Magazine and they might take it up if they're not scared of losing some ad dollars
