I have a speaker switch on my Ultra:
Is the speaker switch there to control an amp? I have an 06 Ultra i never turned the speaker switch off because i thought it controlled the rear speakers. This \\;morning i turned the switch off rear speakers stayed on. I had the dealer print out a add on list since the bike i bought was used. The guy i bought the bike from said everything he added was dealer installed Crete Harley. To my surprise there was $3,800 worth of add ons Yahoo. I didn't see a radio/speaker upgrade so was wondering if the speaker switch was a stock on all Ultra's. Any ideas??????????????
When I picked up my new Ultra yesterday during the walkaround the service guy went over the SPKR switch. Mine is a 3 position. All the way one way is speakers off and thru the headset only, the middle is all speakers on and the stereo mutes with the headset (i think) and the last position is all speakers on all the time. I will look in my manual and confirm this for ya.
there is a chart in the owners manual axplaining all the settings depending on where the switch is set, my previous info is correct but theres more info in the manual re: intercom and CB
I will read the manual also just being lazy and thought i might have a upgraded system because this stero is loud and clean. \\; I hear a lot of folks talking about upgreading speakers. This system is very loud. There is a click when i turn the switch on and a orange light comes on. \\;I do enjoy the toys people add to these great looking machines. Also there are chrome grills on all speakers the fronts have a chrome grill and a harley logo going through the middle of the fronts.
The stereo seems stock. The abs plastic grill you speak of is an accessory. You really should read the manual or buy one thru the parts department if you dont have one.
