Bad speaker switch. Now the radio speakers play no matter if the switch is off or on. I went to buy a new switch and they wanted 85.00 for it so now i have to take it to the dealer for waranty repair. Have any of you guys had this happen. and if so what was the fix..

That's odd. It seems like when a toggle switch fails it's almost always OFF, not "on". Have you added anything to the audio system recently?

I have the same issue, on my 07 RG. I bought it and the previous had installed j&m speakers. I thought they had bypassed the switch for some reason, like to install an amp or something. It does not bother me though. I would like to know what you find out.
on my 06 ultra I have the speaker switch....whether it is turned off or on the rear speakers stay on....didn't do anything with the system...is it supposed to turn off the rear speakers using the switch?

3-position switch. Off, front speakers only, both speakers. The middle position is for front speakers only.
will try it again tonight...but didn't think it works...when it is off both pairs are on...is it go off right away or do the rear speakers stay on for a bit? maybe I didn't even stop the switch in the middle LOL
On my 09 Ultra the switch controls what is heard through the speakers and the headsets. The center position allows music in the speakers, intercom in the headset and CB in the headset. I haven't seen where it will actually turn the speakers off!
Well now i don't know what is right or wrong but i do know that my speakers were off with the switch pushed down at the top. When you pushed it to the center stop the light came on and the frt speakers came on, the second click and the frt and rear speakers were on and the switch light was still red. Like i said now they are on even with the switch in the off position.
Check the icon on the bottom right of the radio LCD. 3 switch positions will give 3 different indications. No icon, a speaker icon, or a headphone icon. If the icon is stuck in one position, it's probably the radio. Unit has an electronic overstress circuit that protects it from voltage spikes when the switch is used. The EOS diode may be blown.
